I can’t help admiring the status of this particular Nero: it is besieged by competitors! Costa Coffee is next door, Starbucks and a Debenhams cafe across the road, and yet another Caffe Nero in Piccadilly Gardens. But it is always full, and always has coffee lovers sitting outside enjoying their cappuccinos. I like sitting downstairs, but it can be a bit crowded there, of course. So, I tend to go to the top level where I can sometimes sit by the stairs and watch people at the bar. Due to its location, this Nero is not strong on natural light, which makes it good to visit with friends or that special someone, particularly if you get to sit upstairs. The only thing to be prepared for, whether you are sitting inside or outside, is an endless stream of people and bunches of Primark shoppers.
